Former JSCE
President, Prof.Dr. Masanori HAMADA proposed to establish the Turkey
Section of Japan Society of Civil Engineers during his last İstanbul
visit. Following our application, JSCE-Turkey Section has been
established in February 2007.
Turkey Section
has the goal of sharing experiences, technology and amity of those
academicians and researchers who have been to Japan in their past, as well as those
civil engineers in application, who have interest in Japanese
engineering technologies and their probable applications in Turkey.
As Turkish
civil engineers, we would like to meet other JSCE members in Turkey,
improve collaboration in our research and application fields, and share
each other’s experiences. Therefore, I sincerely hope and believe that
this first symposium will be a prior step towards succeeding our wishes.
